I love Lacrymosa too!
Doesn’t matter if the “themes” of the two albums are different. The creativity and effort are equal, and all fans of Evanescence should love both equally. If Amy Lee were a painter, I’d love all of her works, no matter the “themes”. Great art is great art. That’s all I’m saying.

I like a BUNCH of songs from The Open Door anyway
Evanescence are my favourite band.
oh that´s fine. i guess i like the open door for its complexity. after all, evanescence can only improve over time, not get worse. it´s all right that you dislike those songs! everyone has the right to <3 (i know by heart every fallen song as well, but they´re too depresive.)
I do prefer Fallen… since i love EVERY song from there.
There are songs such as “Snow white Queen” and “Lacrymosa” that i dislike.
i love them all. lacrymosa, your star all that i´m living for, sweet sacrifice, lithiuum!!(l) she wrote lithium when she was my age! (16) they´re all just so musically arranged, and full of details, ornamented and the background voices are stunning, i also love all the uuh….how can i say it? weight of the world= amazing!

i agree, and the open door is wayyy better album, songwise too and Lithium is my fav
fallen is a sad, depressive album that includes themes of suicide. i believe there is more to life than (as amy says in “lacrymosa” “greiving the things i can’t repair”.I like the open door for tracks such as “lithium” which is a fight between happiness and sadness, “weight of the world” a song about the expectance of fans, “all that i’m living for” a song about the creative process of song writing. Going all emo and boo boo is what fallen is, and as amy said, “it was a stage, and she’s over it”

Both FALLEN and THE OPEN DOOR are fantastic. How can you love one and not the other?
This is the first ever Evanescence song I listened to and IT ROCKS
actually, i believe that fallen was evanescence’s less inspirational album. even amy said it was somewhat simle. even commercial. i love the open door and anything pre-fallen. (don’t get me wrong, i know EVERY evanescence song, but if i had to choose, fallen is at the bottom of the list)
this album its nothing compared with Fallen
